A publisher complains about drugs.
Teddupuie is a publisher that believes
in the death penalty for drug dealers.
Benjamin Franklin did a study on
many things, but words were his specialty. He even did a study to find the most
prolific word in the English language. That means finding the one word that has
the most amount of ways to say that one word. He found that the most prolific
word was not love, lust, sex, or food, but in fact, the word was drunk. I forget
exactly how many ways Ben found to say that word hundreds of years ago, but I
think it was around 270. And when I went to college quite a few years ago, there
were 350 or so, ways to say the same word. Drunk! Says a little something about
our society, doesn't it.
As a publisher, words are an important part of Teddupuie's
business, and each word is supposedly a tool to build a structure to impress
other people. But when our language is made up of various ways to show how much
we detest reality, it makes my imagination go wild with story after story of
drug infested cities and boozed up mobs, taking the law into their own hands.
Then I realize that it isn't my imagination, but that of every publisher around,
just telling the truth in an imaginative way. Our society has a drinking problem
and always has had a drinking problem. But the amount of drugs on the street
today is down right scary. Too many innocent people get mugged or worse, because
some doper needs a fix. Too many prostitutes have given away all dignity for a
drug. Too many children have been raised by dopers, disallowing a fair chance in
life. As a publisher, Teddupuie thinks it is worth mentioning, and complaining about.
A new drug store is opening on a corner near you as this
is being written. Drug company stocks are being traded in the market every
working day, and the publisher of the local newspaper goes home to a martini
before dinner, so what can be done about the drug problem today? Teddupuie has
it's own opinion on drugs and publishers in America.
I'm not suggesting we all write our Congressman, or wear
a red ribbon on our arms once a year. I think the governments of each state in
the United States should pass a law killing any person with too many grams of
heroin or crack cocaine on their person at any time. I think anyone doing a
double homicide or in court for murder on a second offense should automatically
be put on death row, and the same should apply to anyone with enough dope to
deem them a drug dealer. I think it is fair to the public at large and I don't
think the voting public should have any say in the matter. I also think we
should be doing this out of love for the innocent bystander, and the children of
our future society. Every publisher today needs to address the drug problem in
some way, so we will have a better perspective on reality tomorrow. It's the
only way society will survive with a little class.
On certain days, I have a hard time picturing humans
evolving beyond the superior animal that we have managed to become. On other days,
I can see a wonderful future, with everyone working together. Only a few rules
need to be changed to make the difference between a game of fun, or a game of
chance. And we all play games. Life should be fun, without the need for taking a
drug. Someone once told me, the only thing drugs did for him was to help him make
poor decisions. I believe that.
